Give today to hurricane melissa relief

Hurricane Melissa Relief

Our hearts are with the people of Jamaica, especially those in Savanna la Mar, Westmoreland, who were directly impacted by the devastating Hurricane Melissa last week. Several of our church members, including members of the Morris family, are from this region and have loved ones and neighbors affected by the storm.

In response, Solid Rock United Church is organizing a relief drive to support families and communities as they recover and rebuild. We are collecting non-perishable food, clothing, toiletries, and monetary donations to send directly to those most in need.

You can help in any of the following ways:

  • 📦 Bring items or financial donations to our church meeting location at Lawton Chiles Middle School at 1240 Sanctuary Drive on Sundays from 10 AM - 12 PM.

  • 🏠 Drop off donations at the Morris family home (3334 Gambel Oak Ct).

  • 💻 Give online through the link above.

  • 🤝 Find us at community events, like the recent Live Oak Reserve Family Fun Day, where we were blessed to connect with so many generous neighbors.

We are deeply grateful for the incredible outpouring of support we’ve already received. The community’s compassion and willingness to help have been a true reflection of Christ’s love in action. ❤️

Together, we can bring hope and relief to those rebuilding after Hurricane Melissa.
